What type of training can I choose for my post-bac orientation?

After high school, a future student must find his or her path. The course of study he chooses can be a short course or a long course of study.

Short studies (in 2 or 3 years, BTS, BUT, licence, Bachelor)

The Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS) is a short training course and allows students to obtain a diploma at Bac +2 level. With an internship in a company and the application of what has been learned, the BTS allows for professionalization, for a rapid integration into the job market.

The BUT (Bachelor of Technology) is a 3-year program in the University Institutes of Technology (IUT). It replaces the former DUT (University Diploma of Technology), which is prepared in 2 years. This diploma has merged the DUT and the professional licenses.

The licence is a national diploma of higher education. It is prepared in six semesters at the university. The studies have a duration of 3 years.

A Bachelor’s degree is a school title delivered by an institution of higher education. It is offered by business schools and engineering schools. It can be considered directly after the Bac. It can also be done after one or two years of study in higher education.

Long-term studies (5 years or more, masters, MSc, MBA)

The Master’s degree (M1 or M2) is a degree awarded by the grandes écoles, universities and business schools. He has a Bac+5 level.

The MSc or Master of Science is a diploma at the level of Bac + 5 which is widely used in foreign higher education institutions. It is obtained at the end of a program taught mainly in English, to prepare students for an international career. It is a label of the grandes écoles.

The MBA or Master in Business Administration is defined as a Master of Business Administration degree. The difference between the MBA and the MSc is the target audience. The MBA is designed for professionals, such as executives, who want to accelerate their career by developing their managerial skills. The MBA is accessible from Bac+3 to Bac+5.

Which schools offer training related to my post-bac orientation?
