The office manages close partnerships with the business world. These partnership may take many different forms.
ESCE Corporate Forum
One of ESCE's priorities is to support students in their professional choices, helping them identify the skills requested, better understand the professions and business lines offered within companies and develop their network.
Each year, the Corporate Relations Department organises a forum that brings together some 50 companies.
The forum always includes three major components:
- A meet-and-greet area, a real hot spot for exchanges and conversations
- A counselling area manned by HR professionals; this area allows students to benefit from serious advice on their professional plan, cover letters and CVs and lets them experience mock interviews.
- A seminar-debate area whose theme changes each year
This is an opportunity for students to meet with companies, find out more about a specific business sector and start building a professional network. For some, this is a first chance to interact with the business world (interviews, CV presentation, advice on job applications) in a friendly and lively setting.
For others, this is an opportunity to look for an internship or a job.
ESCE and KPMG: Learning Partnership
ESCE and KPMG have entered into a partnership making it possible for 15 selected students in their fourth year of study to choose the "Auditing/Consulting" option and spend one year being trained by KPMG's professional staff.
KPMG welcomes the ESCE students into its French offices or subsidiaries abroad in the context of six-month internships. The most promising interns receive offers for employment at KPMG upon completion of their internship.
Each year, ESCE students face off with students from other top business schools by participating in international competitions related to the realm of business...
SIFE Competition
Each year, ESCE teams have the opportunity to present a project of an entrepreneurial nature in its human, social and sustainable development aspects for the SIFE Competition. The projects are presented to a panel of businesses, such as KPMG, L'OREAL, CARREFOUR, etc.
SIFE is a non-profit, bipartisan organisation with a presence in 37 countries. It includes 1,500 universities and institutions of higher education; SIFE MONDE is sponsored by more than 250 major companies.
The goal of SIFE is to promote the principles that govern private enterprise, i.e.:
- Market function in an globalised economy
- Ethical behaviour
- Managerial and financial qualities and NITC
- Promoting entrepreneurial success
Students defend these principles by conducting projects in teams. These projects enable them to develop their leadership qualities, their communication skills and team work abilities, they learn the ins and outs of entrepreneurship by applying the "learning by doing" method.
For the last three years, ESCE teams have won the silver medal.
Euromanager
This international business strategy tournament in 2004 attracted 38,000 competitors in 16 countries (managers, executives, students of business schools and universities) in search of the title "Virtual Manager of the Year". The brilliant performance of the ESCE team took it all the way to the national semi-finals last year.
