Foreign Students at ESCE
Come study at ESCE
Each year ESCE welcomes more than 250 international students--that is nearly 20% of its student body. More than 30 nationalities are represented, which lends the ESCE campus a very rich cultural diversity. Everything has been done to make ESCE a forum for ideas open to students of all backgrounds or origins, and a place where every individual communicates with utmost respect for others.

The International Relations Department is responsible for facilitating the integration of international students into the ESCE student body and providing them with all the help they need to ensure their experience at our school goes smoothly. This may entail helping them prepare their curriculum, making arrangements for lodging, greeting students upon their arrival, providing advice in administrative matters and supporting students throughout their stay.

Why did you decide to study and work in Paris for a year?
I wanted to broaden my horizon, and learn about new cultures and working methods. Studying at ESCE in Paris was very different to Westminster, even though the subjects taught are similar. The whole environment was very competitive; students would discuss business opportunities even during their lunch breaks. It taught me to be on the ball all the time.
How did you find a work placement?
Via a work placement fair at ESCE. I was hired by a small trading company DAKTARI (Puteaux). Starting my work was daunting, as the environment was very 'French' - not only the language, but the French way of working too. It was a real eye-opener; I enjoyed the family and team spirit in the company. Even though I've been back in London for a number of months, I am still in contact with the company. In fact, they have offered me a job!
Would you recommend the year abroad experience?
Yes, very much so - the year in Paris has changed my outlook on study and work completely. I used to only think inside the box, but in Paris I learned to think outside the box as well. It has also given me the confidence to decide to start a trading company in London after graduation. Before my year abroad, I did not know what I wanted to do. And finally, the year in Paris has given me a great network of friends.
