1968 : In September 1968, on the initiative of the French Foreign Trade Center, four professors, Giuseppe Bufo, Christian Martres, Jean Raby and Jean Meimon, found ESCE, the first business school to specialize in International Business Management.
1975 : Duration of the program extended to three years.
1986 : Student exchange partnerships signed with over sixty foreign universities.
1991 : Duration of the program extended to four years. The school is granted state accreditation on July 18, 1991.
1992 : ESCE is one of the founding schools of the SESAME national entrance examination (for first year admissions).
1995 : ESCE moves to the Leonardo de Vinci university complex at la Défense.
1996 : ESCE’s four-year degree is accredited by the Ministry of Education on July 19, 1996.
1999 : ESCE opens a study program in Lyon at Jean Moulin – Lyon 3 University, the most international university in the Rhône Alpes region. ESCE integrates a dual education option into its graduate program, allowing students to undertake a two-year intensive internship.
2001 : ESCE joins the Laureate International Universities network, a world leader in private higher education.
2004 : Launch of the strategic partnership between ESCE and UIBE in Beijing, China.
2006 : ESCE is authorized to issue an accredited five-year degree by the French Ministry of Education. Moving from a four- to a five-year degree program was a key step in aligning ESCE with the French LMD reform and the new European qualifications framework. Launch of the strategic partnership between ESCE and Universidad del Valle in Mexico.
2008 : Launch of the strategic partnership between ESCE and Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
2009 : ESCE is authorized to issue a state-accredited Master’s degree.
2012 : ESCE joins the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, a leading network of elite French schools. ESCE Paris moves to the 15th arrondissement in the center of Paris, opposite the Eiffel Tower.
